What’s Not To Like?

Well look how packed we were for just our 3rd Seend Wine Circle evening. 13 tables, 105 people and a whole lot of liquid nectar enjoyed by all who came.  This was our first time in the main hall of the community centre and all our worries about the place looking empty were quashed, and sloshed!

The general consensus was that there were 6 great wines and judging by the bookings already in for our Olympic Themed night on July 13th, this seems to be a must do event on Seend’s calendar!

Last Time

March was a great success as expected with some 93 people around the tables enjoying the best of Spain, the chatter intense, the atmosphere electric and the raffle went down a storm and helped cover our teeny deficit from the first one.  You can view the tasting notes of the last one here on the site now by clicking this link.

Next Time

And so for the next one on May 18th we are back at Seend Community Centre in the main hall and we are able to expand a little more although we are reaching our limit.  95 places have already been spoken for so if you’d like to come to that one then shout quickly by calling Steve on 828814 or Malc on 827041 or by emailing the new email address seendwinecircle@gmail.com . We’ve already been through the selection process and gone from 15 down to 6 (you just don’t understand how dedicated the team are to this!) and have got 6 beauties for you.  Malcolm will be your host as this is his favourite region.

And The Time After That

July 13th, yes Friday 13th!  Will again be at the main hall in the Community Centre and the wines will have an Olympic theme, we’ll take bookings for that at the one in May and immediately afterwards.

After increasing capacity to 80 persons we are incredibly already sold out for March 16th.

Sorry for any disappointment!

For our wine circle evening on March 16th we will be at Seend School in School Lane.  This will allow us to expand to 80 persons, as of today we have just 7 places left even for that.

In May we will be back at The Community Centre in Rusty Lane in the main hall with capacity for up to 140.

Wow, what a night!  Our first ever Seend Wine Circle event got off to a flying start with 57 of us crammed in to that upstairs room, we had to open all the windows and turn off the heating, the chatter got louder and louder as each glass was poured and consumed to the point you could barely hear yourself think, wonderful!  We sampled a diverse range of 3 whites and 3 reds, there was some clear favourites and a few not so popular and that’s what it’s all about.

90% of the attendees booked and paid for the next one there and then and as it stands at the moment we are sold out, but rest assured we are looking for another local venue so that everyone can enjoy this great social evening.  For our May and July events we have already booked the main hall at Seend Community Centre so there’ll be no limit to the numbers, well, you never know!  Keep an eye on this website for details of a bigger temporary venue for March.

For those that are coming in March, Viva Espana!!

Our very first event will take place on Friday 13th January at Seend Community Centre in the Village Room.  We are limited to 48 numbers and as of today we have had 48 places booked.
